“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give“ – Winston Churchill. Wiele Welkom is a home for quadriplegic patients. The Butterfly Foundation, through its supporters, raised funds from 947 Cycle Challenge in 2018 to improve the Wiele Welkom home. The specific request was for the kitchen to be made more quadriplegic friendly. The residents of Wiele Welkom extended the butterfly effect by donating their previously loved stove to Kamcare. Kamcare will use this fully functional stove in their baking skills training.
