Kliptown Youth Program is there to provide opportunities that will enable their young people to rise out of poverty. Something as seemingly basic as a driver’s license has the ability to open up many doors. The cost and availability of vehicles mean that many applicants do not have access to try and attain this skill. KYP members received support through the learner’s licence process together with the driving lessons and guidance from a local and trusted service provider. These success stories were a great motivator to partner with the Butterfly Foundation to further this initiative in hopes to break the poverty cycle one family at a time.
