Klapperkop is an iconic area in Pretoria. We are lovers of nature, people, community, unity, health and fitness and more sharing God’s Love. For years Klapperkop has been an attraction, but due to security and risk, many people feel threatened to go there. Since Project Klappies started 2021 we started to restore the faith in going to Klapperkop, not only focusing on security, but more restoring the attractions like nature walks, runs and rides, and by increasing the numbers also increase the safety. We have marked walking, running and cycling routes for the community to use and coordinate usage of trails to minimize attacks through the concept of “safety in numbers”. The workers and security staff will be disciplined to be strong followers of Christ. We want to bring a new positive attitude to Klapperkop. We are also building relationships with government, public and the community to be more positive towards Tshwane and efforts made like Project Klappies.
