25:40 Children’s Alliance is a non-profit, public benefit organisation, founded in 2003, to help save children impacted by HIV/AIDS and poverty in Southern Africa. The core of our mission is to empower communities to save children. We are inspired by Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:40, “And the King shall reply, ‘Whatever you do for the least of these brothers of mine, you do for me.’” 25:40’s focus is on children living in the rural areas of South Africa’s Eastern Cape province, which is characterized by extreme poverty, high incidences of HIV/AIDS and other diseases and violence toward women and children. For all of its beauty, the Eastern Cape is sadly among the poorest regions in South Africa. More than 72% of its people (about 4.6 million) live below the poverty line.
Through this project, we aim to provide each staff member with a branded golf shirt and a warm winter jacket. This will ensure that our team presents a professional image and remains easily identifiable while conducting home visits and carrying out formal community development initiatives on behalf of 25:40.
