The Dambuza Aftercare Kitchen Project is an initiative by the 25:40 Port Alfred Aftercare Centre aimed at providing our 55 enrolled children with one nutritious, cooked meal each day. The project seeks to replace the current offering of daily sandwiches with balanced, wholesome meals that better meet the physical and developmental needs of growing children.
The more children we can support and retain in our aftercare program, the greater the opportunity we have to teach, mentor, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate mission is not only to care for the physical needs of these children but also to nourish their hearts and spirits. A warm meal, enjoyed in a safe space around a dining table, can open the door to a warm conversation, creating the space for us to build trust and share the hope, love, and truth of Christ in our lives.
